On this page you'll find open data portals and repositories that can be searched for multiple subjects. These portals and repositories are supported by governments, NGOs, and independent organizations. In some cases, you can limit your search to a specific subject.

Open Data Portals Canada
- Statistics Canada Data Search PageAs the National Statistical Agency of Canada, Statistics Canada is a great starting place for open data collected and released by the federal government. This portal will allow you to quickly search for aggregated data tables, data visualizations, analytical reports, and whether or not a PUMF can be accessed through the DLI.
- Open Data CanadaIf you are looking for data that is not released by Statistics Canada but is released by the federal government, Open Data is the place to search. The search portal is user friendly and covers all departments of the federal government that release open data.
- Federated Research Data RepositoryIf you are looking for open research data, FRDR is an excellent starting point. FRDR contains both harvested metadata for research data held in other Canadian repositories and some datasets in FRDR itself. If the dataset is not held in FRDR, you will be provided a link to the dataset.
- Scholar's Portal DataverseScholar's Portal Dataverse contains open research data from over 50 participating academic institutions including the University of Regina.
Open Data Portals International
- Google Dataset SearchSimilar to Google Scholar, Google Dataset allows you to use simple keywords to search for datasets.
- re3dataLooking for research data, but have no idea where to start? re3data is the repository of data repositories. You can browse the repositories by subject, or search all the repositories for data.
- Harvard DataverseHarvard's Dataverse uses a similar interface to Scholar's Portal Dataverse, but contains research datasets from American academic institutions and some international data.
- OECD DataThe Organization for Economic Co-Operation and Development shares international data on a variety of topics including agriculture, education, health, technology, and economics.
- UNdataThe main data portal for the UN and UN partners. You can search for international data on a variety of topics.
