About

Support the Library

Libraries today are vibrant and dynamic places. If you visit Archer Library you will see that our main floor is bursting with student activity. We have approximately 630,000 visits annually – students, faculty, staff and alumni coming through our doors and using our collections and services.

By choosing to support Archer Library, you help us to continue to:

  • Provide quality research support and resources to all faculty and students.
  • Ensure students have free access to required textbooks through the Textbooks for All program.
  • Provide students with inviting study spaces.
  • Enhance our resource collections including electronic and physical books, journals and other library materials.
  • Preserve and share our history through Archival and Special Collections.
  • Support student success through the annual Library Award.
  • Pursue new technologies to support teaching, learning and research.

Your gift to Archer Library will impact every student and faculty member of the University of Regina community. Contact us to find out more about giving to the Library.

Donating Library Materials

The Dr. John Archer Library and Archives welcomes books donations and donations of other material, including those that may be designated as rare, periodicals and other formats that will enhance or extend existing collections.  These types of materials are referred to as gifts-in-kind.  Such items are assessed for inclusion according to the collection policies of the Library and Archives.
