Government Publications

This bilingual government and legislative publications portal is called GALLOPP (Government and Legislative Libraries Online Publications Portal). It contains over 300,000 full-text documents (a majority dating back to 1995) from Canada's federal, provincial and territorial governments.
The resource is not comprehensive or exhaustive but archives information is at http://aplicportal.ola.org/aplicscopenote-eng.asp. This resource is managed by APLIC/ABPAC (Association of Parliamentary Libraries in Canada).

Now the historical data in Statistics Canada's annual Canada Year Book is available free on the Internet in the Canada Year Book Historical Collection. It covers the first century of Canada's history, from 1867 to 1967, with historical text, tables, charts and maps, supplemented by interconnected learning resources for students and teachers.

The series is produced by the State Department's Office of the Historian and printed volumes are available from the Government Printing Office.

World Bank Open Data contains statistical data for the 128 individual countries that report to the World Bank's Debtor reporting System (DRS).

OECD iLibrary is OECD's Online Library for Books, Papers and Statistics and the gateway to OECD's analysis and data.
OECD iLibrary contains all the publications and datasets released by OECD (Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development), International Energy Agency (IEA), Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA), OECD Development Centre, PISA (Programme for International Student Assessment), and International Transport Forum (ITF).

ODS covers all types of official United Nations documentation, beginning in 1993. Older UN documents are, however, added to the system on a daily basis. ODS also provides access to the resolutions of the General Assembly, Security Council, Economic and Social Council and the Trusteeship Council from 1946 onwards. The system does not contain press releases, UN sales publications, the United Nations Treaty Series or information brochures issued by the Department of Public Information.

U.K. Parliamentary Papers constitutes a major resource for the historical record of Britain, its former colonies including Canada and the United States, and the wider world. It facilitates researchers’ exploration of the British perspective on historical and contemporary events through a vast and authoritative archive of official government documents from 1801to the present. Through U.K. Parliamentary Papers, researchers can seamlessly access the 19th, 20th and 21st century papers, plus the Hansard parliamentary debates.
House of Commons Parliamentary Papers (HCPP) includes digital versions of these sessional papers for the 19th century forward. They fall into the following three categories:
• Bills - drafts of legislation, to be reviewed through various parliamentary stages. If the Bill passes through these stages, it will become an Act of Parliament.
• House Papers - documents resulting from the work of the House and its Committees.
• Command Papers - Government papers (from Ministers) conveying information or decisions the Government wishes to draw to the attention of the House, presented by Command of Her Majesty .
• Hansard - Official Report of debates in Parliament, from both the House of Commons and House of Lords, from 1803 to 2005.
HCPP does not include the House of Commons Journal, or daily business papers, such as Order papers and Votes and Proceedings.

The Worldwide Political Science Abstracts provides abstracts and indexing of the international literature of political science and international relations, along with complementary fields, including international law and public administration/policy. The database provides abstracts of journal articles and citations to book reviews drawn from over 1,500+ serials publications and also provides abstracts of books, book chapters, dissertations and working papers.

The collection consists of over 1,600 World Bank publications and over 2,300 Policy Research Working Papers .
