Google Scholar: Exporting references to RefWorks
- Note: if you're off campus, log into your RefWorks account in another window or tab before trying to export records into it
- Unfortunately, you have to import references one by one into RefWorks from Google Scholar
- Make sure you set up RefWorks links in Google Scholar by using the Scholar Preferences as detailed in the box next to this one
- Click Import into RefWorks under the title of a desired reference in your Google Scholar search results
- RefWorks will open in another window/tab and ask you to sign in, if you haven't already
- It will then import the reference into an actual reference form in RefWorks
- However, it also puts it in the Last Imported folder
- Above the reference form for your imported reference, mouse over Folders and then View, and click Last Imported at the top of your folders list
- You'll get to the short form of the record that you just imported from Google Scholar
- Click in the box above the record to select it, then either create a folder for it to go into by mousing over Folders at the top of the screen and selecting Create New Folder and following the on-screen prompts, or put it in an already existing folder by choosing its name at Put in folder
- You must do this for each record that you import from Google Scholar
