Facilitator: Sue Mitten/Taylor Rein

In the blink of an eye, judgements are made. Everyone has biases. This session aims to demonstrate some of the ways our minds work outside of our conscious awareness and how we can disrupt bias in our interactions and decisions as leaders to elevate diversity and inclusion. The session is highly interactive and includes a variety of hands-on activities and discussions.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Understand how the brain categorizes information that can lead us to form unconscious biases.
  • Gain an understanding of what unconscious bias is and how it impacts how we lead and interact with our colleagues.
  • Leave with ideas and insights to recognize unconscious bias and how to interrupt those thought patterns to cultivate inclusivity.
