URLeading: Home

The University aims to support the leadership development of current employees across the University. Over eight months, URLeading is designed to provide a comprehensive, peer to peer leadership development experience. Participants enhance their capacity to lead by: 

• Developing a self-awareness of their individual leadership style
• Applying their leadership style to a variety of team and community relationships
• Practicing the art of strategic change when applied to an institutional issue
• Adapting their leadership style to complex organizational issues
• Developing a supportive network of colleagues

Each May, employees are requested to submit an application form supported by their faculty/department/unit sponsors.

The University Executive Team (UET) approved the implementation of URLeading and is an active sponsor of the program.

URLeading principles align with the University’s values of mutual respect, integrity, honesty, inclusivity, diversity, accountability, well-being, community, social responsibility and pursuit of knowledge.
