Open Educational Resources: Open Textbooks

Bookboon.com was established in Denmark in 1988, under the name Ventus, and has always focused on publishing educational material for students and business professionals.

The primary goal of the Community College Consortium for Open Educational Resources (CCCOER) is to create awareness of OER and help colleges to identify, create and/or repurpose existing OER to improve teaching and learning and make education more accessible for all learners.

Mostly K-12, but some textbooks are appropriate for community college use.

Self-publishing platform includes textbooks.

This directory provides an index of more than 1500 books published across 79 Pressbooks networks. Search and filter books by keyword, subject matter, license, and more.

All peer-reviewed. Free online, adaptable, download free. Print available for most at less than $40. This is primarily a collection of texts from other sources already vetted for use at UM.
