Preparing for Research

  1. Identify the key concepts related to your research topic
  2. Use dictionaries, encyclopedias and online translators to build a list of key words to represent your concepts
  3. Search in the Bibliography of Asian Studies (U of R only) or other subject related bibliographies and indexes, using your keyword list
  4. Identify the types of materials that you want to use
  5. Search the U of R Library Catalogue
  6. Selected Internet Sources (by Subjects)
  7. Interlibrary Loan: Dr. John Archer Library can borrow the materials you need from other libraries. Please use the Interlibrary Loans OnlineRequest Form to submit your requests.
  8. Once you have collected enough material,  you may then begin your literature review.
