This symposium will be hosted by the University of Regina Faculty Association's Sessional Advocacy Committee and the Dr. John Archer Library.


Sessional Professional Development Fund
University of Regina sessionals with priority status, and Campion College sessionals, may consider applying for the Sessional Professional Development Fund to cover any costs associated with traveling to the Sessional Symposium from outside of Regina. Apply to Present

Details on the application procedure will be posted here. The tentative procedure and guidelines are outlines below.

We invite presentation proposals focusing on:
- Your pedagogical practices and experiences.
- Labour issues facing sessionals.

Presentation proposals on other topics will also be considered if Symposium scheduling allows.

Applications should include:
- Your current and/or recent sessional appointment(s) at the UofR, Campion, Luther, or FNUniv. 
- A description of your proposed presentation in 200 words or less.

Applicants may, if they choose, indicate if they identify as members of equity-deserving groups, including members of racialized groups, people with disabilities, sexual and gender minorities, and Indigenous people.

Guidelines:

Individual presentations will be a maximum of 20 minutes long, including questions and discussion. Presenters should aim to speak/present for 12 minutes to allow sufficient time for questions and discussion.

Group proposals (including roundtable discussions on a theme or topic, themed group panels, co-presentations, etc.) are welcome. Group proposals should be submitted as a single application, with current/recent sessional appointment(s) of all presenters, contact information for all presenters, and a description of the group presentation in 500 words or less.
