How to Evaluate Resources: Exercise

Carl Bergstrom and Jevin West from the University of Washington created an entire course on resource evaluation:  Calling Bullshit: Data Reasoning in a Digital World.  The syllabus, videos, and readings for the course can be found on their website.  They take students (and other interested scholars) through the steps of how to distinguish credible information from -to use their term - bullshit. There is a wealth of highly valuable information on this page that can help hone your evaluation skills.  While it may take you some time to sort through all of the tips and skills presented, in the end it is well worth the time invested.
