APEGS (Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan) has been providing an annual grant to the University of Regina Library since 1988. This grant, the APEGS Past Presidents Library Grant, is used for purchasing engineering and geoscience books and other information sources, beyond what the library's regular budget makes possible. The University is most grateful to APEGS for this valuable assistance, which allows us to make available to our students and other library users a richer collection of resources.
A searchable, digital library of titles purchased with APEGS funding is available. Browse APEGS contributed titles, or search by title or author to see the items available at the Dr. John Archer Library.
APEGS also supports the University of Regina in other ways, such as by awarding prizes and scholarships for students.
Library Card
APEGS members may obtain a free library card that entitles them to borrow items from the University of Regina Library and the libraries of the Federated Colleges (Luther College, Campion College, and First Nations University). Present your APEGS membership card at the Archer Library service desk to obtain your free card.
Interlibrary Loan
APEGS members who have obtained their library card may also request interlibrary loans for books and articles that the University of Regina does not have. A fee may be charged (normally $15, but may vary).
The University of Regina Library, upon request, delivers instruction on information searching, information literacy, and other related topics to APEGS groups and gatherings.
