For assignments in this course you have been asked to use the Chicago style of citation (Notes and Bibliography). Helpful information on using this citation style is available in these resources:

The online Chicago Manual of Style is available through the U of R Libraries, and the Notes and Bibliography -- Sample Citations section contains helpful examples of Chicago NB citations.
Purdue University has a handy online guide to Chicago Style (although it's always best to confirm your findings in The Chicago Manual of Style). In particular, their Chicago NB Sample Paper is helpful as a model of how footnotes should look in a paper.
