RLST 227: Jesus the Christ (Helewa, Winter 2024): Reference Shelf

Reference materials

When you are beginning your research, reference works can provide a helpful starting point for gathering basic information on your research topic. Many of the publications listed here will provide overviews on people and subjects, often with bibliographies to point you toward further reading on the subject.

Online reference sources

You can use Quick Find, the U of R's online search tool, to identify online reference (encyclopedia, dictionary, atlas, etc.) articles on a given topic. To find reference materials:

  • Log into Quick Find (top right corner of the screen) using your Novell username and password.
  • Enter your search terms (for assistance, see the U of R's Quick Find LibGuide).
  • In the Modify My Results column, scroll to Resource Type and select Reference Entries.
  • When you locate a relevant entry, click on Full Text Available to access the article.
