Help the Dr. John Archer Library & Archives and UR International celebrate International Education Week 2025 on November 18. The 1.5 hour hybrid event will feature panelists consisting of current students and alumni who will discuss their experiences on campus including the Library, opportunities, and the importance of global diversity in classrooms and workplaces. Royal Sask Museum exhibits at Archer

If you've been around the Archer Library lately you've probably noticed several exhibits near the Help Desk generously on loan from the Royal Saskatchewan Museum: The Grandfather Rock - one of a number of Grandfather rocks scattered throughout Saskatchewan, this one is known as the Beaver Hills Petroglyph. The original rock is made of Dolomite (Limestone) from which this exacting replica was painstakingly recreated under the supervision and guidance of Elders.Saskatchewan Tropical Crocodile - a scale model of a crocodile skeleton uncovered in the Saskatchewan badlands.Bees and Pollination display - includes multiple bee specimens, a special golden bumble bee coin from the Canadian Mint, and research from Cory Sheffield, Curator of Invertebrate Zoology at the RSM. International Education Week 2025

"Lest We Forget," "We Will Remember Them," and "All gave some, some gave all"

Archer Library & Archives has more eye-catching displays to help commemorate Remembrance Day. The first is near the main entrance that includes a curated display of books. The second is on a table (by the Dr. John Archer wall plaque) that has veteran recognition cards. These can be filled out and they will be collected and sent to the Regina Legion. The third display (curated by student Mason Hausermann) is in the large display cabinet by the IS Desk. We also have a digital collection titled Operation Calvados. The collection helps preserve the lives and stories of past and present Regina Riflemen and honour those who were killed in action during the June 6, 1944 D-Day landings and the resulting Normandy campaign....
